This page documents exactly how GameNerd creates, reviews and corrects its content. It applies to every article on this site.
Standards
Sources. Claims about games, updates or the industry are sourced to primary material whenever it exists: official patch notes, publisher pages, developer statements, earnings filings. Rumors and leaks are labeled as unverified and attributed to their origin.
Hands-on claims. If we describe how a game plays, someone on the team played it. If coverage is based on trailers, demos or secondhand reports, the article says so.
Reviews. Opinions reflect the writer informed judgment at time of writing and are never influenced by commercial relationships.
AI disclosure
We use AI tools as part of the writing workflow for research assistance, outline drafting and copy cleanup, the same way a newsroom uses spellcheckers and archives. Every published article is researched, verified, edited and approved by a human editor who takes responsibility for its accuracy. We do not publish fully automated content, and no article goes live without human review. AI tools never fabricate quotes, statistics or hands-on claims on this site.
Corrections
Errors of fact are corrected in the article itself, with a dated correction note appended at the end. Substantive updates to evolving stories are dated. Spot an error? Tell us.
Independence & monetization
GameNerd may earn revenue from advertising and affiliate links. Sponsored content, if ever published, will be labeled unambiguously in the article header. Commercial relationships never determine editorial coverage or opinions. See Privacy Policy for data practices.
